Building Communities Neighborhood Garden program announces it's 3nd annual kick-off meeting...
April 5, 7pm - 9pm

Any resident of Plano is invited to participate.
The meeting takes place at 7 pm at A's Restaurant on the corner of Rt. 34 & Kinser St., Plano, IL. At this time, guidelines and requirements will be explained and individual garden plots will be assigned. University of Illinois Extension Agent Jeff Rugg will be present to answer questions, provide gardening tips and advice and hand out greening freebies!

Building Communities Neighborhood Garden is located on three acres of land provided by Ken and Jim Digate on the southwest corner of W South St and Suzy Ct., behind the Larson-Nelson Funeral Home. The land will be prepared by Barry Smith and will be in planting condition. Water will be provided by the city of Plano and gardening education will be provided through the University of Illinois Extension Master Gardener program.
Building Communities Neighborhood Garden is a program of Building Community of Plano, a neighborhood program made up of volunteers, craftsmen, retailers, community and church leaders. The vision of Building Community is to not only physically rebuild homes, but to also create a spirit of community involvement in many areas.
